Privacy Policy

What Cali Commander collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Cali Commander (calicommander.gg) is a fan-made site for the Cali Commander format. In this policy, “we” means the team that runs it. Questions about this policy go through the contact page.

What we collect

  • Your account: your email address, your username, your password and, if you pick one, your home store. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash, never as the password itself.
  • What you add: decks, deck descriptions and primers, comments, your bio, follows, bookmarks, your card collection, event registrations and match results.
  • If you link Discord: your Discord account's id and display name, so events run in Discord know which player you are. We ask Discord only to identify the account, never for your servers, messages or email.
  • If you apply to host events as a store: the store's details and the contact name, email, phone number and website you give us.
  • To stop automated abuse: your internet (IP) address, in short-lived counters that limit repeated sign-in, sign-up and password attempts, and a count of recent sign-in attempts on each account. Counters kept in the database are deleted about a day after they expire.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count page views and to measure how fast pages load. They use no cookies and do not identify you. A few product events, such as “a deck was created”, carry only ids, counts and short fixed labels, never your name, email or decklist.

Cookies

Signing in uses a few cookies that keep you signed in and protect the sign-in form. Linking Discord uses a cookie that lasts ten minutes, for that step only. We use no advertising or tracking cookies. The site also keeps a few settings in your own browser, such as how you like to view a deck, your recent searches and unsaved drafts. They stay on your device.

What other people can see

Anyone can see public decks, public profiles, comments on decks, and event results and leaderboards. You can make a deck private, and hide your record, trophies and follows on your profile, in your account settings. Event results and leaderboards stay public.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. A few services run the site for us: Vercel hosts it, Neon stores its database, Resend sends password-reset emails, and Railway hosts the Discord bot that runs events in Discord. If you link Discord and play in an event run in Discord, your name appears in that server. Card images load from Scryfall's image servers, which see your internet address the way any website does. Card shop links take you to the shop's own site, which has its own policies.

Email

We email you only to send a password-reset link you asked for. There is no newsletter.

Your choices

You can delete your account yourself in your profile's account settings. That removes your account with your decks, collection, event registrations, points and standings. Some of your match records are deleted with it. In the others, your name is removed but the match stays, so your opponents' records still add up. A store owner's account is deleted on request, through the contact page.

Children

Cali Commander is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
